As SI DMS provides capabilities which will be of interest to a wide audience of users (from home users to corporate ones), this software product can be implemented in several directions. During the development and implementation of separate products which later will be integrated into SI DMS, this project can become a multilevel structure intended to accomplish a wide range of tasks. Each level will be based on modular system, because the modular technology allows adding new features to the system without any problems. It ensures the integration with other modules that makes the system open for modification. Thus, SI DMS can be improved not only in the process of its implementation, but also after its release.

The implementation of SoftInform DMS (Document Management System) will become a logical evaluation of SI DMS. This product will be a document management system that will provide an effective scalable approach to document management. The main distinction of document management systems from SI DMS is workflow means or the module of document routing. In fact the document management system can be represented as SoftInform DMS v.3.0 with built-in workflow module. After the implementation of workflow in SIA v.3.0, a wide range of capabilities that will be wider even in comparison with popular DMS such as DOCS Open, Documentum and DocuLive, will allow us to position SI DMS as a knowledge management system. First of all, the implementation of concept search will contribute to it.

Within the framework of this business plan, it is planned to release the DMS version of SI DMS approximately in 18 months after the beginning of financing. This will also require about 6 months to promote the project. After that it is possible to enter the market. Of course, we have to carry out a huge volume of work including the promotion, but we hope that SI DMS which is not inferior to other products in the quality of implementation, can get its niche in the market of DMS due to low prices.

It is difficult to predict the level of profit which may be gained from the implementation of SI DMS on the market of document management systems. But to describe general prospects of the promotion, it is enough to say that the profit from its implementation can be much higher than that from the promotion of other components of SI DMS. It is proved, on the one hand, by a growing popularity of DMS, on the other hand, by a rather high cost of the automation of one work place (from $500 to $2,000).
