Production plan 

As SoftInform DMS (SI DMS) represents a rather complex software product, the process of its implementation will be conditionally divided in several phases and each of them will correspond to the release of a new version of SI DMS. According to the technical tasks it is planned to release 3 versions of the given software product. Each of these versions will be positioned in different sectors of the market and will have its strategy of promotion. While releasing a new version of SI DMS, the number of its capabilities will be extended. The list of all SI DMS capabilities is presented below according to each intermediate version of this product.

SI DMS Internet (term of implementation is the end of the 8^th month ) is designed for a large audience of Internet users and supports different Internet browsers. This product allows the user to create an archive of web pages, web sites, etc. (it supports only web formats) and will provide the following capabilities: 

·        document multiversion mechanism

·        working with collections (lists) of documents

·        adding user comments to documents

·        multi-user operating mode

·        indexing data which are not stored in the archive

SI DMS v.1.0 (term of implementation is the end of the 12^th month) will provide all the capabilities of SI DMS Internet. Moreover, it will support the work with documents in any format (not only in web formats) and it will be extended by capabilities of network version with read-only access. It means that this product will be mainly designed for ordinary users (home and office users). In spite of the implementation of network version with read-only access, this approach is stipulated by 2 Gb restriction on the size of an indexed archive, that will not allow this version to enter the market of corporate system. Though this version will be able to defy competition with simple archiving systems and indexers.

SI DMS v.2.0 (term of implementation is the end of the 18^th month ) will provide all the capabilities of the first version of the product and a number of additional capabilities: 

·         removal of 2 Gb restriction on the size of indexed archive

·         full-function network version

·         viewing new and modified data

·         working with cabinets

·         working with compound documents

·         working with bookmarks and combined document

·         standard form wizard

·         long-term storage archives

·         working with common and individual archives of information

·         using several information systems based on SI DMS in corporate networks.

The features listed above will allow us to position this version of SI DMS much broader. In addition to the market of ordinary users which will be considerably expanded due to the implementation of new capabilities in SI DMS, the full-function network version will be promoted successfully on the market of corporate systems.

SI DMS v.3.0 (term of implementation is the end of the 18^th month) will provide all the capabilities of the previous versions of the product and in addition a number of new capabilities:

·         organization of distributed data archives

·         multiprocessing

·         system of updating

·         replications

However it is possible to extend SI DMS during its implementation by a number of useful functions which are not described in this business plan. The release of the third version will complete the implementation of the project and will allow us to proceed to the development of new prospective projects based on SI DMS. It should be added that it is planned to release the third version of SI DMS practically at the same time with SI DMS v.2.0. The implementation of these versions will allow us to compete on equal terms with DMS.
